Interview on Rai Radio3 Science

On 4/08/08, as part of the programme 'The Third Ring' on Rai Radio 3 Science, an interview by Rossella Castelnuovo was aired with Christian Casarotto, glaciologist at the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences, and Sir David King, chief scientific advisor to the British government, on the melting of glaciers.

"Over the past 50 years, Alpine glaciers in Italy have lost about 40 per cent of their surface area. And many of the smaller ones have disappeared altogether. This continuous erosion is taking away a valuable resource, and is also a threat to the landscape and tourism'.
