On Monday 29 November at 7.30 p.m. in Bari, Fabiano Ventura will be a guest at the first edition of the festival “Io scelgo il pianeta” (I choose the planet) to talk about the scientific photography project “On the trail of the glaciers” and the role of glaciers in the balance of the ecosystem and in the study of climate change.
On Monday evening, in the Kursaal Santalucia theatre room, Fabiano Ventura, creator and director of the project, and Jacopo Pasotti, journalist and scientific communicator, will talk with Marco Cattaneo, director of National Geographic Italia, about the effects and environmental and economic consequences of glacier melting, highlighting the direct influence that such melting has on the daily lives of each of us.
The festival dedicated to the theme of environmental sustainability, which will take place from 26 November to 5 December 2021, has been conceived and organised by Cime, a company from Puglia that has been organising international events for several years, with the support of the Puglia Region and the Municipality of Bari, the participation of Bari University and the collaboration of National Geographic Italia and Rai Documentari.
All the meetings and screenings in the programme of the “Io scelgo il Pianeta” festival are free of charge, subject to booking and subject to availability.
