On 22 April, Earth Day, Macromicro will take part in ECOMED 2026, participating in the conference “Environmental Days: The Challenge of Climate Change Adaptation.” The panel, scheduled for 6:00 PM in the Ionio Hall, will feature a presentation by Fabiano Ventura introducing the Shifting Sea project.
Organized in collaboration with OGS – the National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics, the conference will explore the resilience of Mediterranean regions in the face of global warming and rising sea levels. Discussions will focus on how scientific knowledge, combined with innovative technologies, can help protect biodiversity and support the sustainability of coastal economies and communities.
During his presentation, Ventura will illustrate Macromicro’s multidisciplinary approach, which, through the Shifting Sea project, combines visual documentation of coastal change with scientific data on landscape vulnerability. The initiative aims to provide original insights, tools, and communication resources that can contribute to a more informed and effective ecological transition.
We look forward to welcoming participants to this important opportunity for dialogue on the future of our coasts and the challenges posed by climate change.
