Collaboration with leading research institutes activated

As of today, the Macromicro Association boasts the collaboration with two important scientific institutes: the National Snow and Ice Data Center, a prestigious international institute that manages the world archive of photographs and scientific data on glaciers, and the Comitato Glaciologico Italiano, which has been promoting and coordinating research in the field of glaciology in Italy since 1895.
The two institutes carry out and support scientific research on glaciers and climate interactions and are also involved in popularising science on these topics.
Fabiano Ventura, President of Macromicro, explains: “Our collaboration with the National Snow and Ice Data Center and the Italian Glaciological Committee stems from the desire to join forces and different competences to illustrate, in every possible aspect, the problem of climate change and in particular its effects on glaciers. Starting from public awareness, to the most detailed scientific studies. The goal is to widen the network of culture and awareness, to spread greater environmental awareness, to safeguard the planet’s glaciers, our water resources, and the future of us all”.
